JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an IT technician with system responsibility who is passionate about working with technology, solving problems, and contributing to the municipality's digital development and cybersecurity.
Currently, we have 11 people in the IT and security unit, of which 7 work with the daily IT operations and the development of the municipality's IT infrastructure. The unit coordinates and is responsible for the operation of all IT and supports the municipality's operations in their digitalization journey. We also actively work with civil defense and crisis communication solutions and manage guidance through the municipality's contact center.
You will have your own responsibility for certain parts of the infrastructure with a focus on systems and operations. The role is varied. You will work closely with colleagues, operations, and suppliers. You will have an important role that is coordinating, executing, and preparing for updates and changes.
Our operating environment consists of approximately equal parts of Windows and Linux servers, mainly located in our own secure and protected data centers. Almost everything is virtualized, and we work with a high degree of automation and integrations.
We handle over 300 systems and a wide variety of applications. Most run locally, but an increasing number are purchased as services, which places high demands on integrations, strong authentication, and security. We also handle thousands of devices connected to our environment daily.
You will be an important part of the municipality's systematic cybersecurity work, including contributing to hardening, secure operations, and long-term development.
What we can offer you is:
- A challenging job in a technically advanced and security-critical environment.
- An outgoing job with many contacts with operations and suppliers.
- A community in a larger team with broad expertise, open communication, and strong cohesion.
- A permanent position at 100% with start date according to agreement.
The job also includes participating in our support and emergency technician schedule some weeks. As support, you will receive incoming calls and cases, and as an emergency technician, you will go out to help operations on-site and get to know the operations and the municipality.
Please note: The possibility of remote work is limited. We place great importance on social and personal meetings, while the operations we conduct place high demands on security. Therefore, it is not possible to work in the administrative systems outside the unit's protected premises.
QUALIFICATIONS
Who are you?
You are a team player but can also stand firmly on your own. Stress does not make you shaky; rather, it makes you focused. And when you encounter something new, your instinct is always: Exciting, how do we solve this?
Of course, you have a B driver's license, as sometimes you need to go on adventures in the municipality and help operations directly on-site.
You should have:
- Experience in operations in Windows and/or Linux environments in large-scale environments.
- IT technical post-secondary education or equivalent competence.
- Experience documenting technical systems.
- A driver's license for a car, as the work sometimes takes place at the operations' locations.
- Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
- Good ability to work in teams but also independently.
Meritorious:
- Experience in system hardening and cybersecurity.
- Experience with container technology (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of automation and integrations.
- Knowledge in programming.
- Experience as an IT technician with customer contact.
For us, your personality is as important as your professional background. You are a problem solver who is attentive and accommodating, putting the user in focus and delivering high-quality solutions.
To get started quickly, you need to be solution-oriented, goal-oriented, and want to have fun at work. Ready to become part of Svenljunga's digital future? Send in your application; we look forward to hearing why you should be our next IT superhero!
Please note: The position may be subject to security classification.
